猫 means “cat”, 小猫 means “kitten”. This is the same for a lot of animals; 狗 is “dog”, 小狗 is “puppy”.

我的小猫

我的家里有一只小猫，它是白色的。它的名字是花花。

每天它都给全家带来很多欢乐。它会在房间里跑，玩玩具，躺在沙发上晒太阳。我很喜欢花花。

My home has a kitten. It is white. It is called huahua.
It makes our family very happy. It will run in the rooms of the house, play with toys and lie on the sofa in the sunlight.
